When my dad was on his final lap. Robert Irving got wind that he was in the box and made his way down to offer his thanks for the years of service my dad gave to the Irving organization. The sincerity is so visible in this photo.
It meant the world to dad.
When Mark Symes and I were fortunate enough to honour dad this year at the Wildcats Organ Donation game. He played a silent part in making sure our family was comfortable for the game.
He did it for so many.
That’s how he operated.
Generous in a way few saw or knew.
It is not easy to be an Irving in New Brunswick.
He did it the right way.
