I haven’t been this excited in a long time!
Today it was announced that I am the AI Entrepreneur in Residence at UNB’s J Herbert Smith Centre (JHSC). The first University in the world, that we know of, to announce a position focused on AI integration – focused on the use of AI for productivity gains.
We are on a clear mission: Lead the World in AI Integration.
It’s audacious. It’s not something we normally say in Atlantic Canada.
In fact, we are normally late to the game.
But this time we don’t have to be. The cost of entry is 20 bucks a month.
Every Business Owner in Atlantic Canada and Every Leader in the Private Sector and Public Sector must contend with what AI means for their organization, their processes, and their people.
Yet, less than 4.4% of leaders have done anything meaningful with AI in their organization.
The time is now!
The potential is endless.
Dave Doucette, You have had the foresight to help us launch this. You may look like a banker on Linkedin, but you’re an entrepreneur at heart and you know how to help your fellow entrepreneurs navigate the bigger questions of capital. Roynat Capital has the capacity to support entrepreneurs in a way I’ve not seen other lenders be able to match.
On a personal note this is like coming home. 13 years ago, when we started Symplicity Designs, Dhirendra Shukla was the silent catalyst. He challenged my dad to reconstruct the Quality Management Course (My Dad, Sarah Gallant, Or I have taught it every since).
He backed my dad fiercely in the early days and gave him the confidence to lead Symplicity. And he provided a pathway for us to teach the Introduction to Performance Excellence through the TME program to more than 250 senior government officials. It laid the foundation for our work over the next decade.
And now leading and managing has taken on an entire new shape in the world of AI.
I’ve sometimes introduced myself as a recovering academic. Those who know me, know I’m not quite recovered. I’m honoured to partner with Dr. Shukla, my alma mater, the University of New Brunswick, and the private and public sector leaders to drive AI awareness and integration across this region.
There is no reason for us to miss this golden opportunity.
