To have true empathy.
To truly understand the other side is a core leadership skill.
It doesn’t take away the hurt.
It doesn’t take away (or diminish) the impact on you, your project, your BHAGs.
By and large, people are well-meaning, well-intentioned, and want to have a positive impact. They navigate this world the best way they know how.
Your job is to meet them on the path.
If you want to put yourself in a leadership role, you’ll need to embrace empathy.
Best part, it’s a skill you can learn.
