Goals are directional; Habits are tangible.

Goals are directional; Habits are tangible.

Don’t confuse desire with capability.

The new year has become the natural reset point. And I love the motivation that comes with a new year. The potential is intoxicating. The enthusiasm is contagious.

And you can build virtually any capability you want.

James Clear, one of the foremost experts on chance and achieving success, succinctly said: “You do not rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the level of your systems.”

Every successful change has three core components to it:

1. A Clear “Why” (What is your reason for change?)
2. A focus on a systemic change (Which Habit?)
3. And a team around you to help you stick to it. (Who will motivate and hold you accountable?)

What’s your reason? What’s the one habit you’re changing? Who is the team helping you achieve your goals?
