There is an urgency that comes with September.
I beg of you to take a step back first.
The weekend gatherings have mostly come to an end. The crisp mornings are here. The fall colours are just around the corner.
The kids are back in school. Our own formal education calendars, firmly embedded, bring with them a habitual sense of new beginnings.
All of it signals change. It is a Blank Canvas.
It allows us to grab hold of the Fresh Start Effect (see Katy Milkman‘s excellent work here).
Before you decide to commit to action, have you looked at the game you’re playing first? Is it the right one?
Working harder in a business that isn’t producing the return for you today is a fool’s errand.
What problem do you solve? For who? What’s the value of solving that problem for them?
What does my 12 month ideal financial and operational model look like?
What am I doing really well that I could amplify?
Where are my biggest challenges?
What are the top three?
Let’s connect that energy of a fresh start to the right improvements.
Action without Strategy is a Disaster.

This is why, before anyone commits to our 12-month Levership Program, we walk them through their operational proforma, a customer analysis, and a pricing and positioning exercise.
One of our most recent sessions ended with “This is magic. For the first time, I feel like I can see what I need to see to make the right decisions.”
I’d love to unleash the magic with you.
But most importantly, I hope you commit to 2 days/quarter to reset on the big decisions, 1/2 day a month to check in on major changes, commitments, and pace, and finally, 1-hour a week to drive tactical commitment.
