Over the course of a year spend $499.00 on each employee as a special gift.
We divide that up into two parts. One is focused on supporting individual health goals and the other is a personalized gift at Christmas.
The Holidays were always a special time in my family. Mark Symes and I are great-grandchildren of farmers and grandsons of a first-generation entrepreneur in the roofing and siding business. Both are seasonal pursuits which means the winter was the only time the world slowed down. That isn’t really the case in our world of strategy and execution BUT we have carried on that tradition in our business and put a lot effort into our annual holiday party.
This year Evelyn Bannister suggested we do a Secret Santa. We gave everyone a budget and asked them to say a word about the person they drew.
It was amazing!
That brings me to the gift that Sarah Gallant gave to me. Describing Symplicity as the little engine that could might just be the finest compliment we’ve received made even more special because it came from one of our longest-standing colleagues.
Clarity on the goal and Focus the resources on the constraint – Get over the Mountain.
