The Human In The Loop Is Still Critical

The companies that will dominate 2027 aren’t the ones with the best AI tools, they’re the ones reorganizing their entire talent strategy around AI capabilities right now.

“At Warmly, you’re underperforming if you’re not 30% more efficient by the end of this year using AI.”

Notice he didn’t say work 30% harder. In fact, I don’t know of a job you can’t do 30% more with less total hours of work and at a higher quality. Our team at Symplicity and Levership are already there and pushing further.

Knowledge is on tap.

Our role in execution has changed from doing to framing. And then Audit, Edit, and Integrate.

The Human in the Loop is still critical.

But that is changing faster than any change I’ve seen – Where we play, how we work with AI to execute. Ethan Mollick calls if the jagged frontier and I can’t think of a better term for what we’re experiencing.

“AI is dramatically under-hyped because most enterprises have not done anything in it … that’s where all the money, impact, and jobs are.”
— Elad Gil (his new podcast by Shane Parrish is an absolute must listen).

Here are a few examples:

Sales:

Sales Prep that would have taken hours, can now be done in minutes and with more accuracy. With Clay and Humantic I’m better prepped than ever.

Conference and event prep – sort, sequence, and work on the right opening line to meet new and important contacts has never been easier.

The Admin required for success:

Compiling a report, doing research, completing benchmarking, crafting an RFP/RFQ. It can all be done so much faster and so much better.

Deep Research with ChatGPT is incredible. 03-the reasoning model has completely changed the game on logical interaction. It gets to better answers quicker with less precise prompting.

And the most UNDER VALUED part of AI sits in HR.

What does your org design look like when you integrate AI?

What do your roles look like?

What does your training look like when your team needs to move from “knowing” to framing the “knowledge on tap” and integrating the output into your work?

How do you amplify all of it with coaching?
