Unpopular but hard truth:
Most attempts to implement AI will result in increased waste and cost.
96% of C-Suite executives expect AI to boost productivity.
But 77% of employees using AI say it has added to their workload and created additional challenges. 47% of employees say they have no idea how they are supposed to use AI to achieve the goal. And 40% feel their company is asking too much of them with AI.
(Here is the study from Upwork: https://lnkd.in/gwGCEp8K)
AI can not make up for a badly defined value prop. AI can not write your marketing content by itself. AI can not convert clients. AI can not (today) fully replace or automate a process end to end. AI can not (today) fully replace the use of technology.
The only successful implementation of AI that I’ve seen so far in any organization has been fractional.
By fractional, I mean helping to increase the performance of a well-defined process.
The better defined your processes are, the easier it is to identify areas for improvement. Think of what takes time – Preparation, Reports, Proposals, RFPs, Documentation etc…
And if you take the 10-80-10 approach. You frame it (The 10% up front), have AI do the heavy lift (80%) and you audit, edit, and put the final finesse on it.
