My partner, Emily Dugas, was away this weekend. I got my girls.
We baked cupcakes. Had an early Easter dinner with the family. And our last night before Emily rejoined us, we watched the New York Sirens take on Seattle at Madison Square Garden — 18,000+ fans. The largest crowd in US history for a women’s hockey game.
My daughter Ellington has spent a bit of time with Sirens captain Micah Zandee-Hart – She is incredible. What she does on and off the ice for the game is incredible!
That’s why she stayed up way past bedtime. She did not want to miss a shift. She made it midway through the second period before her desire gave way to sleep.
The Sirens were down 1-0.
She woke up this morning to a shootout win for Micah and company.
The world is chaotic right now. AI is changing everything about how we create value. Economic rupture is forcing hard choices about where and how we do business. The cost of goods keeps climbing.
As leaders, we don’t control most of that.
What we control is how we show up – at work and at home.
That’s the whole job.
