AI Isn’t A Solution

If you want AI to work for your business, start here:

Understand how you create value first.

What problem do you solve? For Who? What’s the Value?

Too many founders try to bolt AI into their organization like it’s a magic productivity hack.

AI isn’t a solution.

It’s a force multiplier—for the right process, at the right time.

And without clarity on what you do and how you win — AI will cost you time, not save it.

Here’s the simple framework we use with clients:

1️⃣ Start outside-in.
What problem do you solve?
What’s the real value of solving it—for your customer?

2️⃣ Attach that to the engine of the business.
What lets you deliver that value consistently?
What processes allow you to consistently deliver that value?
Where’s the muscle you need to scale?

3️⃣ Now layer in AI.
Not everywhere. Not all at once.
Just where it makes that core capability faster, sharper, or more scalable.

We call it Fractional AI.

Not AI for everything.

Just the specific process where speed, quality, or decision-making can be improved.

For me, one win was content.
I record raw thoughts while running.
AI helps turn them into newsletter drafts and LinkedIn posts.
That used to take 4–6 hours a week. Now it’s 1–2 max, with higher quality.

For email?
I use Fixer AI to tag messages, draft replies, and cut response time in half.

For meetings?
Tools like Fireflies and Read.ai give us transcripts, action items, even tone analytics—so we coach better and follow through faster.

Here’s the point:

AI is not the answer.

It can only amplify the answer.

AI becomes a damn good co-pilot.

I broke this down in my podcast that’s still relevant today.
